One of the thrills of going to Sephora is when the cashier says, "I have been a member of the Beauty Insider rewards program for years, and it's just one way I get to try new products and save money on my favorite buys. Many of my other go-to beauty stores have amazing loyalty programs, too. If you're dedicated to Sally Beauty or Ulta for all your beauty shopping, you can sign up for their rewards to cash on. Being a member means added perks, such as early access to new launches, exclusive discounts, and free gifts. Warning: When you start piling on the points, you'll be even more motivated to shop.

1. Aveda Pure Privilege Rewards Program

Although Aveda's rewards program isn't completely free, it does offer members 10 points per every dollar spent. Just for joining, you can get double points on your first purchase as a newly minted member. You can cash in your first 2,500 points for free product, or hoard your them for better rewards down the line. Once you reach 7,000 points, you can get up to $75 off a spa or salon experience. At 20,000 points you can get a spa set with an embroidered robe. Aveda's program also has many opportunities to get extra points. If you always keep your phone at hand, downloading the Aveda Pure Privilege app and connecting your rewards account earns you 200 bonus points. Right now through May 3rd, Pure Privilege members can score 300 extra points with the purchase of any skin or body product.

2. Birchbox Points

Birchbox's loyalty program offers different ways to stock up on products for less—not just through the subscription box. Members get one point for every dollar spent on full-size items, plus a whopping 50 points for the future purchase for every friend you refer to the program. You can also get a point for every dollar spent on. 59 gift subscriptions, so when you buy Birchbox for a loved one, you're also adding to your personal beauty fund. As a bonus, subscribers receive 10 Birchbox points for their first five sample reviews. Warning: Keep track of your points-they expire six months from the date they were first earned.

3. CVS Extra Care Beauty Club

Since the drugstore is a go-to for great beauty products at amazing prices, signing up for the CVS. Extra Care Beauty Club is almost a no-brainer. Once you join, members instantly get a 10 percent off shopping pass to stock up on beauty and skin care goodies, plus coupons to use on qualifying. 69 beauty purchases at CVS. Right now, Beauty Club members can get $3 ExtraBucks rewards when you spend $30, which means you get CVS cash to spend on other essentials like candy bars and paper towels. Since new beauty deals come out every week, you've got plenty of opportunities to save.

4. Fresh Family Rewards

Like most rewards programs, Fresh has different levels of membership including Freshie (free), Fresh Family (spend at least $200 a year), and Fresh Forever (spend $700 or more a year). There's no fee to join as a Freshie, and no matter which level you're currently at there's a free welcome gift and access to private sales. As an added bonus, the program offers a special present and double points for your first purchase during your birthday month. When you level up to Fresh Family status, you can swap in your points for specialty items. Once you reach the Fresh Forever level, you're eligible to receive invites to special brand events, plus early access to new products.

5. MAC Select

I've been a fan of MAC since my high school days, and their rewards program makes me want to spend even more of money on the brand—what girl doesn't need an extra Ruby Woo or two? Their MAC Select rewards program honestly hooked me after I read that you can receive 15 percent off your first online purchase just for joining. Once you spend $150 or more on MAC products and reach tier two of their loyalty program, you'll get access to things like exclusive members-only products, and even a complimentary MAC select 30-minute makeup application.

6. Sally Beauty Club

If you like getting free stuff, then consider Sally Beauty's rewards program. It definitely starts off on the right foot, offering customers a free product (under $10) just for joining. In addition to that awesome perk, the point system is designed to help you rack up on products even faster. Every $1 spent equals 10 points, and for every $50 spent you get a free product under $10. Although a yearly membership costs $5, you immediately get your money back to spend on any beauty product, plus a $5 birthday gift.

7. Sephora Beauty Insider

Sephora has three tiers of membership depending on how much you spend (Beauty Insider is free, VIB status starts after spending $ 350 per year, and Rouge status is $ 1,000). The first level gets you perks like a free birthday gift, VIBs get free in-store makeovers and special deals, and Rouge members receive 2-day shipping gratis and invites to exclusive events. I've been a Sephora Beauty Insider (and now recently crowned VIB) for so many years that you can barely read the words on my membership card anymore. Every dollar spent online. After every shopping trip, you have the option to cash in your beauty points at the counter for a product sample, but I'm the type of person to save mine for something really worthwhile like a beauty brand sponsored trip-a reward reserved for Sephora super shoppers that rack up 35,000 points or more.

8. Smashbox Smash Cash

Smashbox's rewards program is practically giving points away, offering 100 points just for joining, plus an additional 25 bonus points on your first beauty order. Once you spend $75 on Smashbox products you have the option to pay with your points (10 points equal $1) and you get even more perks, like early access to product and birthday and anniversary gifts. During your loved ones' birthdays or holiday season, their free gift wrapping services for Fearless members (spending $ 250 or more per year) will definitely come in handy.

9. Ulta Beauty Ultamate Rewards

If you find yourself at Ulta every other week, it may be time to apply to their rewards program. You earn points for every dollar spent on products and services from the brand. The more points you get, the more money you can save through special rewards and coupons. The first milestone is $3 dollars off a purchase once you reach 100 points. If that's not tempting enough, Ulta also has an Ultamate Rewards credit card that ups the ante to two points back for every dollar you spend at Ulta Beauty.
